For the first time, our women’s race will comprise two stages thanks to the increased sponsorship of the event courtesy of Zwift.
Stage two of the women’s race is comprised of 20 criterium laps. It promises to be a fast and furious contest – but will a rider be able to break away and change the face of the overall classification?

Lunsar
Lunsar hosts the finish of all three stages and is of course home to Sierra Leone’s biggest cycling team, the Lunsar Cycling Team. The largest town in the district in terms of population, Lunsar is one of North Sierra Leone’s commercial and business hubs. Lunsar was first known for the mining of iron ore at the nearby Massaboin Hill and it is this practise that gives the town its name. “Sar,” in Temne means stone, as in the stone in which the iron ore was found. Now, Lunsar is of course best known for our great race and cycling team.
