One-, two- and multi-day biking adventures in Sierra Leone.
One-, two- and multi-day biking adventures in Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone is a stunningly beautiful country to explore on two wheels. In fact, we believe cycling is one of the top things to do in Sierra Leone. Many visitors to Sierra Leone come for the beaches, but very few take the time to head into the country. To encourage more people to see what this land that we love has to offer, we have created a one-day and two-day cycling itinerary, which you can book online today.
We’re the biggest cycling team in Sierra Leone, hosts of the world-famous Tour de Lunsar and current champions of the Salone Cup, the national racing series here in Sierra Leone. We’re passionate experts about cycling and we love sharing our passion for two wheels with fellow Sierra Leoneans and visitors alike.
We also have solid infrastructure to support short cycling tours and excursions, and we are proud to have Hello Sierra Leone as our tourism partner. You can combine our tours with a longer visit if you are coming from abroad, but we also welcome people who are resident in Sierra Leone, and simply feel like a weekend getaway!
To give you the the best chance of experiencing what it’s really like to cycle in Salone, we put together a couple of itineraries that show off our favourite local routes. These routes involve mostly off-road riding, with just short stints on the main roads where it is unavoidable. The itineraries are planned on the assumption you will be staying in Freetown on the night before the tour and include the cost of transfers to Lunsar. If you are able to reach Lunsar under your own steam – either by private transfer, public transport or your personal vehicle – a reduction in the price will be made.
We believe strongly in keeping investment in our community, and all itineraries include expert local cycling guides who are current members of our cycling team. Also included: helmet rental, bike rental, water, meals where mentioned.

Transportation to and from Lunsar is the single biggest cost of the itinerary. The itineraries above assume a rate of $150 US per day for the transfers; a very comfortable minibus with air conditioning rented to us by Hello Sierra Leone. Plus $75 US for fuel to cover the journey to and from Lunsar.
Our one-day itinerary costs $150 US per person, based on a minimum of four participants. For guests who are self-transferring, there is no minimum number of participants, and the price starts at $120 US for a single person. A group of four would pay just $75 US each. The maximum group size is 10.
